Apologies if this has been mentioned in another thread, I didn;t find it anywhere.

I thought I'd installed everything correctly, but when I ran the first test 01simple.php I got the following error message :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\\httpdocs\cia\desk\01simple.php on line 58

Anybody got any ideas what I did wrong ?

Many thanks for your help

The error message indicates that you have PHP 4 installed. You will need to upgrade to PHP 5. When you upgrade, check the requirements to make sure that you get the right extensions installed too:

In addition to the ones listed, I recommend that you also enable mbstring extension. This will give you full UTF-8 support for Excel5 classes.
