I try to get PHPExcel working on a ubuntu 2.6.38-8-server.

All I get is a line of text in the browser, e.g. with no errors:

15:58:15 Create new PHPExcel object 15:58:15 Set properties 15:58:15 Add some data 15:58:15 Rename sheet 15:58:15 Write to Excel2007 format 15:58:15Save Excel2007 format

What am I possibly missing?

It should have just saved to the test folder. The download.php files have code to let the user save or open it.

To add some more information,

running th example, the file '01simple.xlsx' will be created.

ls -al *xls*

-rw-r--r-- 1 www-data www-data 6237 2011-09-09 20:44 01simple.xlsx

It just webpage just doesn't ask to save it.

It doesn't give me a clue, yet.

The generated files are fine too...

I found the problem, looking at the example '01simple-download-xls.php', seeing the headers.

Make sure not to output anything else to the browser.
