Hi Gents,
Got a few issues with getting the software to read a excel 2007 spreadsheet (Excel5 works fine though on old spreadsheets). From checking my PHP.ini and phpinfo(), zlib and zip are both enabled (as per googling recommends) but the error continues.

Any ideas is apprecated.

Hmm... this sounds strange. Can you try to run this in a separate script?

error_reporting(E_ALL);

$zip = new ZipArchive();
var_dump($zip);

Still:
"Fatal error
: Class 'ZipArchive' not found"

Running on: Server 2008 IIS and PHP 5.2.6

In that case the problem is not with PHPExcel. I suggest you try searching on that error message and find out how others have managed to fix that.

I am really sorry to be of no help, but I have no idea what the problem is. Please post back when you find the solution.

You could try recompiling zip as a separate shared object and including it that way.  That is how I am using it.
